Serzh Sargsyan: “They may send the report to the archives, but not their guilt for capitulation”

The report of the parliamentary commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war has been sent to the National Assembly’s first department, and even its non-classified section has not been made public. In this regard, journalists asked Armenia’s third president, Serzh Sargsyan, to comment.
“Yes, the commission’s report has been sent to the archives. But will they be able to send their guilt for the capitulation to the archives as well? Of course not,” emphasized the former president.
“In my opinion, after the commission was established, its members were told, ‘Work calmly, we’ll see what happens later,’ and they were deliberately allowed to violate the legally prescribed deadlines for the investigation. Then, the other side was told, ‘Well, since they violated the deadlines, why bring it to the National Assembly, why discuss it — just send it to the archives.’ It’s obvious, isn’t it? What else could they find there besides their own guilt?” added Serzh Sargsyan.
