Armen Ashotyan: Turkey and Azerbaijan don’t care about the “Peace” Agreement — they want Syunik

The Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Armen Ashotyan, wrote on his Facebook page:
“At the recent summit of the Organization of Turkic States held in the Azerbaijani city of Gabala, much has already been written about the inclusion of Aliyev’s rhetoric and formulations regarding the so-called ‘Zangezur Corridor’ in the adopted declaration.
However, another, no less important circumstance has escaped attention.
In the 14-page document, numerous international issues significant for the member states and the organization are listed — Northern Cyprus, Syria, Afghanistan, Central Asia, and so on.
Yet, there is no mention whatsoever of the so-called ‘peace’ agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which was preliminarily signed in Washington.
It is difficult to find a more cynical and blatant proof of how meaningless that document is — merely a scrap of paper in real politics.
This becomes even more evident against the backdrop of the formulations regarding Syunik.
Turkey and Azerbaijan couldn’t care less about the ‘peace’ agreement. What they want is Syunik — and that is a 100% truth.
No matter how much Nikol [Pashinyan] and his clowns try to sell ‘peace’ to the domestic audience, the paper it’s written on is nothing more than political waste — mere scrap paper.”
