Karapet Poghosyan warns about drug spread among minors, blames government and police for inaction

Human rights activist Karapet Poghosyan wrote the following on his Facebook page:

“By destroying our state, your own homes will be the first to collapse — the one who digs a pit for others will fall into it himself.
I have repeatedly spoken about the spread of drugs among minors through Telegram channels, emphasizing how dangerous this phenomenon is and how it aims to undermine the very foundations of our society and state.
I have also highlighted a 2018 government decision that created favorable conditions for this spread — and now the evil has reached even the doors of Civil Contract (ruling party) members.
According to circulating reports, a few weeks ago, a close underage relative of one of the Civil Contract MPs ended up in such a state that they had to be taken to the Avan Mental Health Center.
It is truly horrifying that a teenager studying in one of Gyumri’s educational institutions has faced such a problem. It is terrifying that this is happening right here in our country and city. It doesn’t matter that the child’s family is an active supporter of pro-Turkish views — that child could have become a good soldier. Unfortunately, that is no longer possible, and the only ones responsible for his fate are the state-destroying government and the police asleep in a donkey’s ear, who are busy only neutralizing the opposition.
Dear parents, be more attentive to your children — before this evil is neutralized.”
