Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzana Sadegh and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev discussed the transit of Russian gas to Iran through Azerbaijani territory.
This was reported by the Press Service of the Azerbaijani government.
It was noted that on September 23, Farzana Sadegh received the Azerbaijani delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister, which is on a visit to Iran.
“During the meeting, topics such as the development of joint oil blocks, the inclusion of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in a gas exchange agreement between the two countries, the transit of Russian gas to Iran via Azerbaijan, and the development of electricity networks among the three countries were discussed,” the statement said.
As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation is scheduled to travel to Shahid Rajaei Port and sign a memorandum of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran.
