Serzh Sargsyan: Republican Party has not decided on 2026 parliamentary elections
The Republican Party of Armenia has not yet made a decision on whether to participate in the 2026 parliamentary elections.
Speaking to journalists after a court session, Serzh Sargsyan stated this and wished success to all the forces that have already made their decisions. The former president noted that the party is currently focused on another matter — referring to the impeachment process.
“Let’s see, I don’t want to draw conclusions ahead of the situation. At the right time, we will announce whether we will participate or not,” he said.
Sargsyan added that they did not initiate the impeachment process but defended it and also nominated a candidate.
