Armenian president meets Cyprus ambassador, highlights strengthening bilateral relations and regional stability

On the occasion of Independence Day, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Cyprus’s Ambassador to Armenia, Michael Mavros.
The President congratulated the ambassador and emphasized that the relations between Armenia and Cyprus are based on historical friendship and solidarity.
He highlighted the special importance of Cyprus as a trusted and valuable partner of Armenia, and expressed gratitude for the continuous support of the Cypriot government, especially during challenging times.
Ambassador Michael Mavros thanked President Khachaturyan for the warm reception and congratulations, stressing that he will continue to make every effort to activate and deepen bilateral relations, including exploring new areas of cooperation.
The interlocutors also emphasized the importance of opening resident embassies in Yerevan and Nicosia, which will contribute to the expansion and effective development of cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the need to ensure peace and stability in the region.
