White House releases 20-point Gaza Peace plan; analyst questions feasibility and U.S. motives

The White House has released a 20-point document on resolving the Gaza conflict, which calls for an immediate ceasefire, the return of hostages, a phased Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, the disarmament of Hamas, and the creation of a transitional government led by an international body.
Oragir.news spoke with political analyst Tevan Poghosyan, who stated that Trump’s statements should not be taken seriously.
“Trump and a group of people may have decided something, but the world does not end with that group. Is China, Russia, Turkey in agreement with this decision? You are talking about a region where thousands of interests collide. For example, on November 9, 2020, some paper was signed. Did it come into force? No. He also decided that peace would be established in Armenia in a single day. Was it established? Is Trump’s path already working, or is Aliyev still talking about the ‘Zangezur Corridor’? Saying one sentence does not mean it will be implemented. If all sides want it, it may work out, but as far as I understand, every sentence Trump says serves only and exclusively American interests,” the analyst said.
Poghosyan also commented on the multilayered nature of the conflict, noting:
“If the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict may have about 10–15 components, the Arab-Israeli conflict has 1,500 components. I don’t know if Trump’s plan will provide a solution to those 1,500 components or not.”
