Armenian lawmakers propose January 27 as “Day of Remembrance and Reverence”
Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan wrote on his Facebook page:
Dear friends, I would like to inform you that in the coming days MP Gegham Nazaryan and I will circulate a draft law designating January 27 as the “Day of Remembrance and Reverence.”
We need to have a special day to honor the memory of those who fell in all periods of military operations and to bow before all who gave their lives for the homeland.
According to the draft, that day will be January 27, while on January 28, as always, we will mark and celebrate Army Day—as a symbol of continuing life and willpower.
