Catholicos of All Armenians meets “Save Armenia” judeo-christian alliance representatives at Holy Etchmiadzin

On September 23, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received Matthias Pertulla, Director of the Judeo-Christian Alliance “Save Armenia,” and Dr. Alveda King, a member of the Alliance’s Board of Directors, civil rights advocate, Christian faith ambassador, and niece of Martin Luther King Jr., at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The Information System of the Mother See reported the meeting.
During the conversation, His Holiness expressed his gratitude to the members and supporters of the Alliance for their solidarity with Armenia and the Armenian people, as well as for their efforts to make the Armenian voice heard on international platforms.
The discussion touched upon the challenges Armenia is facing and issues related to regional security. The Catholicos expressed his concern regarding Azerbaijan’s demands, the Armenian prisoners of war held in Baku, the rights of Artsakh Armenians, and the appropriation and destruction of Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage by Azerbaijan.
In his remarks, His Holiness stressed the importance of the efforts of friendly countries and the international community in establishing a just and lasting peace in the region.
Representatives of the “Save Armenia” Judeo-Christian Alliance expressed their solidarity with the Armenian Church and the Armenian people, sharing concerns over the violated rights of Artsakh Armenians and the preservation of Artsakh’s Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage.
They emphasized that these issues must continue to be raised at the highest levels of the U.S. government, assuring that Armenia will not be forgotten amid the whirlwind of global events.
