Five arrested after violent clash between supporters of Valodya Grigoryan and Mher Akhtoyan

Yesterday, five individuals were arrested in connection with the brawl involving the supporters of Valodya Grigoryan and Mher Akhtoyan, ArmLur.am reports.
According to the outlet’s sources, the participants of the incident are the same people who were at the center of the notorious February 5 fight and shooting in Merdzavan.
As journalist Lia Sargsyan had earlier reported, a violent clash occurred between the supporters of Valodya Grigoryan and the Civil Contract (CC) community head Mher Akhtoyan. The fight escalated to the point where both sides began throwing stones at each other.
That same night, unknown individuals vandalized the grave of Grigor Ohanyan, the brother of Narek Ohanyan — who has been charged with aiding in the murders of Valodya Grigoryan and Karen Abrahamyan.
Two weeks after the murders of Grigoryan and Abrahamyan, tensions in Parakar remain high.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the information:
“A dispute occurred between a group of individuals. Police intervened and prevented further escalation. Several people have been arrested,” said Narek Sargsyan.
Some of the participants in the incident reportedly fled the scene.
