Pashinyan: international support needed for resettlement and integration of Karabakh refugees

“We hope the international community will provide financial support to address the resettlement issues of our compatriots from Nagorno-Karabakh. The Council of Europe can also assist by implementing various programs for our Karabakh compatriots, including support in retraining and education. This is a very important direction to help them more quickly find their place in Armenia’s growing labor market,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a Q&A following his speech at the PACE session.
“Of course, the Government of Armenia is implementing such programs, and in the near future, our government plans to convene a conference or workshop with the participation of our compatriots who became refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh. During this workshop, we will try to hear directly from them about their impressions of the programs implemented so far, and also coordinate certain medium- and long-term programs with them, or include them as much as possible in the content,” he added.
