Armenia’s SRC Chairman participates in EAEU and CIS customs meetings in Dushanbe

A delegation led by Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Eduard Hakobyan participated in the 51st session of the Unified Board of Customs Services of EAEU member states and the 81st session of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of CIS member states in Dushanbe. The sessions brought together delegations from the customs authorities of EAEU and CIS member states, headed by their respective leaders.
During the meeting of the Unified Board of Customs Services of the EAEU, 22 decisions were discussed and signed. These covered various areas of customs affairs, including:
the specifics of processing goods under certain customs procedures,
handling goods with documents confirming no clearance omission,
customs administration of goods subject to customs control found in illegal circulation within EAEU territories,
formation of a unified database of reference images obtained through non-intrusive inspection equipment,
and several issues related to the classification of certain goods in accordance with the unified commodity nomenclature of the EAEU’s foreign economic activity.
At the CIS Customs Council session, 16 decisions were discussed and signed. These concerned:
identification specifics of passenger cars equipped with electric and internal combustion engines,
classification of certain types of goods,
and the activities of the Committee of Heads of Law Enforcement Units of the Customs Services.
Additionally, the heads of customs services signed the “Agreement on the Center for Examinations and Research for Customs Purposes of the Customs Services of the CIS Member States.”
It was decided that the 52nd session of the Unified Board of Customs Services of the EAEU will be held in Russia in the fourth quarter of 2025, while the 82nd session of the CIS Customs Council will take place in Kazakhstan in the second half of 2026.
