Archpriest Ter Yeghishe Harutyunyan of the armenian diocese in Georgia passes away at 86
At the age of 86, Archpriest Ter Yeghishe Harutyunyan, a clergyman of the Diocese of the Armenians of Georgia, has passed away, the Diocese reported. This information was also shared by aliq.ge.
“The Primate of the Diocese of the Armenians of Georgia, His Grace Bishop Kirakos Davtyan, the clergy, staff, and many faithful express their condolences to the deceased’s family and loved ones, and pray to God to grant the departed soul the light of His heavenly kingdom,” the statement read.
Archpriest Ter Yeghishe Harutyunyan’s body will be transferred on Friday to St. George Cathedral in Tbilisi, where church rites will be performed.
According to the announcement, the memorial service will take place on Friday, September 26, at 17:00. The final anointing and burial ceremony will be held on September 27 during the Divine Liturgy at 11:00, with the burial at 14:00 from St. George Cathedral to Dambalo Cemetery.
